Membership Application and Club Release

  The Battle Creek Ski Club needs you.  Your membership supports your club.  The membership includes various club related activities during the year, the annual Christmas party, and most importantly gives you access to very reasonable priced club sponsored ski trips.  The club’s membership fees are still one of the lowest in the area.  RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY: The Battle Creek Ski Club reserves the right to cancel the trip, to refuse to accept or retain any person as a member of the trip at any time, or to make changes in the transportation, lodging, or published itinerary, whenever, in their sole judgment, conditions warrant such action. The Battle Creek Ski Club is not liable for lost or damaged baggage. The owner assumes the risk. The Battle Creek Ski Club acts only in the capacity of agent for trip participants. As such, the Battle Creek Ski Club, its officers and directors shall not be liable for any death, illness, personal injury, property damage or loss, accident, delay, or irregularity which may be occasioned, either by reason of any defect in any vehicle, through the acts or default of any company or person engaged in conveying the participant or in carrying out the arrangements of this trip. The price of this trip is based on approximate prices, and if, prior to departure time, the price is higher or lower, the trip price may be adjusted accordingly. The Battle Creek Ski Club and the accommodation and transport companies are not to be held responsible for lack of snow or non-operation of lifts at the ski resorts or for closure of access routes to or from resorts due to weather conditions, nor are they to be held liable for any additional expenses or consequences arising there from. Similarly, they are not to be held responsible for the late arrival of participants due to inclement weather or road conditions, or for any reason beyond their control.  BSCS  is recommending members participating on club trips, look into and potentially obtain trip insurance to cover travel related problems, including bankruptcy of the tour agent.  

I have read this agreement, fully understand its terms, and acknowledge that I am acting on my behalf or in the capacity of agent for my family.  By signing the membership / waiver and have signed it freely and without any inducement or assurance of any nature, agree to the terms and conditions, and agree that if any portion of this agreement is held to be invalid, the balance, notwithstanding, shall continue in full force and effect.
