11:00 Shipshewana Trail Head
Rain Date August 30, 2026
Join us for an out and back ride on the Pumpkinvine Bicycle Trail. This trip is about ~19 miles with included stops of Das Dutchman Essenhaus for lunch (on your own), some local Middlebury points of interest, and Krider "World's Fair" Garden. We will be riding the most scenic segment by most accounts, and it is almost all old rail bed (no significant hills) from the defunct Pumpkinvine Railroad. The trail is about one hour drive south of Kalamazoo and 1 ¼ hour from Battle Creek. Arrive Shipshewana Trailhead @ 11:00 AM. Depart no later than 5:30 PM. Optional Après vélo at local establishment.

If interested, please contact trip leader Eric Metheny at (517) 462-1371 (phone/text) or EAMetheny@gmail.com. Additional trip details will be provided.
